#Nigeria confirms 1st #coronavirus case in sub-Saharan #Africa, an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and just returned from Milan to Lagos (population: 21 million). Unfortunately, it’s just the beginning of a global #pandemic.
Flew back to Lagos from London yesterday. I have to say so far I’m more impressed by Nigeria’s response to the #coronavirus. Health forms, health screening, workers in masks. Nobody in Heathrow being tested or wearing a mask. I really hope the govt wakes up and starts acting.

Nigeria has its first Coronavirus case. My prediction: their experience with Polio and Ebola are going to result in them handling this more competently than most Western democracies. https://t.co/PFmVGLKZw1
