Mike Leach is New Mississippi State HC After Joe Moorhead Firing.

Sports (Mraket News) : Famous Washington State University head coach Mike Leach has accepted the head coaching job at Mississippi State, officials confirmed Thursday.

Leach will replace former coach Joe Moorhead, who was fired after just two seasons with the program.

Mississippi State athletic director Jon Cohen appeared to confirm the hiring of the outspoken coach on Twitter. Cohen posted a picture of himself and Leach with the following caption: “Here we go!”

The notion of Leach leaving Washington State is not entirely unexpected, as this comes after Newy Scruggs of NBC Sports in Dallas reported Tennessee and Leach were “working on a deal,” in November 2017.

Mississippi State was reportedly linked to both Steve Sarkisian and Todd Grantham before hiring Mike Leach. That’s like trying to decide between two different kinds of vanilla ice cream and then buying a grenade launcher.
