Death – Obituaries : (MARKET NEWS) – Family and friends are mourning the death of Danny Martin, 61, of Whittier who died December 16th 2019 after a fatal car accident along Whittier Boulevard, near Jordan Road.
A man who became a community fixture in Whittier by spending decades greeting drivers from his flag- and sign-adorned tricycle died early Monday in a collision with a car along Whittier Boulevard, authorities said. According to a report by ktla.com.
Martin who survived a motocross accident in the 80’s spend the rest of his life greeting residents of Whittier and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He was killed killed while attempting to cross the Road of Whittier Boulevard when he was hit by a westbound 2004 BMW, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement released by Whittier Police Department
The driver of the vehicle stopped and have been cooperating with investigators as they investigate the cause of the accident.
“There’s no signs of any foul play or anything out of the ordinary,” the officer said. “Nonetheless, the traffic bureau is going to be investigating.”
