ACCIDENTS (MARKET NEWS) :Road Conditions i 5 North Redding CA : See Northern California Road Conditions.
The California Department of Transportation has confirmed the closure of both direction of I-5 between Yreka and Redding.
The busy highway was closed in both direction due to “an extremely large number of vehicles spun out along the interstate,” said an official of the California Department of Transportation.

It’s expecting to take some time to have those vehicles removed and get traffic flowing again on both directions of the road, and in addition to that , roads must be plowed. According to authorities.
They department however did not give estimated time of reopening.

It was also reported that people are stranded in the highway and need authorities to come help them.

All I hear are sirens now. A couple hours into the first rain and there are already accidents.
