Some social media story suggesting that Toby Mac’s Son Truett Mckeehan has died may be a total hoax as we have not seen any news outlet or social media post by the family confirming the story.
We can only hope and believe it was a hoax, because Truett Mckeehan popularly known by his stage name as Trudog is Toby McKeehan’s son, and thus appears on most of tobyMac’s albums.

I am so sad, to hear about the loss of Toby Mac’s son Truett (truDog) unexpected death. The reality is we are not invincible and yes we never know when our time on this earth is up. It’s terrifying as a mother to think that my kids could go before me but it’s more terrifying if I am unsure if I will even see them in eternity. I am not implying Truett or even my own kids are not saved. As a mom it’s just a thought, you raise these children, teaching them all about Jesus and God and salvation, pouring into them everything you learned the hard way and it’s all their decision when they grow up. This song was written to Truett from his Dad Toby Mac when he moved out at age 20. My thoughts and prayers go out to the McKeehan Family and all the fans and mom-fans that watched this little boy grow up and feel the loss too.
✝️Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
✝️Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
✝️Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
