Body of Missing Woman Found Deceased in Benton County  Arkansas, Estranged Husband Shot Dead by Police.

Missing Person Sylvia Ann Ussery-Pearson has been found dead, her body was discovered in Benton County, Arkansas, Tuesday, according to Overland Park Police.

The deceased has been missing since Monday, her family members noticed she failed to return home, they called the police for assistance.

The Police started their investigation with an attempt to track her phone which pinged in Cass County, Missouri, prompting a search of land in that area.

The police are now linking the death of Sylvia Ann Ussery-Pearson to Charles Pearson, the man who was killed in an officer-involved shooting Tuesday ,  the incident happened when Mr. Pearsons walked into a hotel near The Legends Outlets shopping center Tuesday morning and told the manager that he had killed his wife, and to call 911 because he was heading to the shopping center.

Jacob Honeycutt, the general manager of the Country Inn & Suites, said Pearson seemed “very angry and distraught” when he barged into the business.

“He said, ‘I’m heavily armed and very dangerous. I’m going to Legends. You better call police,'” Honeycutt said, according to KMBC NEWS

The hotel manager tried to follow Pearson but could’t catch up with him when he jumped into a car and sped away.

In what looked like a well organised plan to have confrontation with the police, the suspect drove to a nearby pull-off and waited for Kansas City, Kansas police to arrive. Police said Pearson fired shots at them. Officers returned fire, and Pearson was killed.

Investigation by the police now revealed that Pearson and Ussery-Pearson where husband and wife, but broke up since February this year.

After Ussery-Pearson disappeared , police contacted Pearson for questioning , after several attempt they reportedly got hold of him Tuesday Morning. Police was able to interview and made arrangement to search his car and his home. In the course of the interview , Police said he was cooperative with their requests. Later in the morning, police said investigators believe Pearson contacted family and friends to tell them he was suicidal.

It was after Pearson’s death that Police searched his home and discovered a note handwritten by him, stating that he had taken Ussery-Pearson to Benton County and left specific information on where to find her.

Police then was able to locate the body of Ussery-Pearson around 6pm  Tuesday evening in the Lost Bridge Area of Garfield, Arkansas, near a water tank located next to the Lodge on Whitney Mountain, according a News report by KMBC NEWS
